Congratulations to Lonabel Ehlert, winner of last weekx92s x93Member of the Weekx94 drawing.

Thank you to everyone who attended last Thursday nightx92s dinner to show their appreciation to the Quincy Senior Center volunteers. Honorees were Joan Reynolds, president; Marlene Stone, vice president; Betty Durant, secretary; Elaine Elshoff, treasurer, and board members Betty Boorman, Irene Olson, Larry Koenig, Dena Hooyer, Orlan and Jean Wood and Rae Soelter, our newest board member. Other volunteers who were honored were Ila Halterman, Gloria Ogoshi, Laura Christian, Isabel Henson and Marvin Mort. Everyone received a bag of edible goodies and president Joan Reynolds also received a fresh flower lei made of lavender and white orchids and white mini carnations. We thank you all for your service and dedication.

Due to the rising cost of operations, cost for the Thursday night dinner has been raised to $8 per person. The new cost will start May 1. Childrenx92s discounts will still be offered.

Also on Thursday, May 1, in honor of x93Teachers Appreciation Week,x94 the Center will recognize and honor present and former teachers. Please join us for this celebration.

On Sunday, April 27, join us for our monthly potluck at 1 p.m. Everyone is invited! Just bring a food dish to share and stay after the meal to play dominoes, pinochle or bring your own favorite game.

The Center has items like canes, walkers, bath chairs and potty chairs for loan. Call Pam at 787-3231.

Monday night bridge winners were Dorothy Hammack, first, and Susan Atkins, second.

On Tuesday afternoons at 12:30 p.m., we play x93Mexican Train dominoes. Everyone is invited. Call the Center for more information.

Last weekx92s Wednesday afternoon bridge winners were Bea Weinand, first, and Barb Woodworth, second.

Last Thursday night pinochle winners were Lonabel Ehlert, first, and Elsie Logan, second.

Last Thursday night dominoes winner was Elaine Elshoff.

Rotary lunch and Thursday night dinner will be spaghetti with meat sauce, bacon-seasoned Brussels sprouts, tossed green salad, garlic breadsticks and dessert.
