Charline Linville Booth

Charline Linville Booth passed away in Nampa, Idaho on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, at the age of 89. She was born July 26, 1920, at Utica, Okla., a daughter of Louis and Edna Linville.

She spent her school years beginning at Utica, then junior high at Roberts, Okla., and graduating from high school in Blue, Okla.

In the fall of 1938, she moved with her father and brother to Nyssa, Ore., where she worked at Langton’s store and restaurants in the area. In 1948, she married Homer “Slim” Livesay; they had two sons, Larry and Paul.

They were in the café business in Stanley, Idaho, Nyssa, Ore., Spray, Ore., and Wilder, Idaho, for many years when they raised their two sons. Slim died in 1981.

In 1982, she married Clayton Booth and they made their home in Quincy. While in Quincy, Charline was active in garden clubs, The Homemakers Club and the hospital auxiliary.

After Clayton’s passing, she moved back to Nampa, Idaho to be closer to family. Following her return to Nampa, she became involved with the Red Hat Club at Silver Crest Estates.

Charline enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking and crafting. Her home was always open and you never left hungry.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her brother, Don, and a sister, Alda.

She is survived by her two sons, Larry (Debbie) Livesay, and Paul Livesay and Kathy Varitek; her brother, Ray Linville, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held at Canyon Hill Cemetery in Idaho on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010.

Donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
