Helped needed for animal shelter
Thanks to our community, the Quincy Animal Shelter is running well and we have gotten several compliments on how clean it always smells. We are thankful for this small shelter, because of the size it has a more “homey” feel.
However, with the weather, we are getting several kittens and puppies and we are getting low on supplies. We are in need of bleach, dish soap, Pine-Sol (not regular scent, it makes the animals sneeze for some reason) laundry soap, kitten food and puppy food. Kongs are great toys for the puppies and dogs. You can fill them with treats and it gives them brain stimulation while waiting for their families to come.

Volunteers, foster families and monetary donations are always needed and appreciated. With your help the Quincy Animal Shelter can continue to find permanent homes for those animals that find their way to our doorstep. The animals and I thank you for all your support.

What happened a few months ago was a shame, weather it happened or not, things could and should have happened differently with the cheif. These animals had NOTHING to do with the problem between the cheif and Mrs. peterson or the volunteers. I dont care if the volunteers stole or not these animals need our help, so quit being so inconsiderate of these poor animals, and GROW UP. Thank you Debbie for all your work in making this animal shelter a better place for these animals.

all charges were removed from claws and paws. There was no stealing on our behalf. I talked to the detective via phone myself. People are afraid because they might be accused of something they never did. She should not be surprised that she is having a hard time finding help. If things were done the correct way and there was honesty involved claws and paws would have still helped and even donated money. Remember there are always multiple sides to a story, buy usually only one true side.

Who would work/volunteer there after what happened just a few months ago? I know I don't want to be falsely accused of stealing like the volunteers were.
I bet Paws & Claws people are having a good laugh at Ackerman's expense.
No thanks.
