Bravo Allied Arts!

They did it again! Allied Arts of Quincy gave the community a terrific production with Guys and Dolls! It was exceptionally well put together. It is also gratifying to realize the amount fine talent right here in Quincy and in the Columbia Basin.

Beside the top performances, the scenery, Sherri Kooy’s choreography, and musicians, were among top accomplishments.

Of course, the stars of the show gave delightful performances — Nick Parker, Erin Morse, Michael Kooy and Kelsea Burton. The latter two are new to the stage here and gave outstanding performances along with Parker and Morse.

All actors played their roles so well and some played two or three parts! The gals who doubled taking parts of guys were exceptional. To mention just two, Erin James and Nancy Connelly amazed us with their “guy mannerisms.” Some performers have taken part in most of the productions and their continuing participation filling a variety of roles is appreciated. Some of those are Tom and Vonna Harris, the Kooys, and Patric and Nancy Connelly. One musician to be acknowledged for playing her violin in many plays for the 10 years is Dyann Solders.

Thank you, Allied Arts, director Eric Van Woert, and all involved in this production for bringing us “Guys and Dolls”!

Vonna Harris, QVAA president, shares that “It is my hope and desire that Quincy Valley Allied Arts will grow and thrive for many years to come, but in order for that to happen we need you.”

If you appreciate the arts and the efforts involved and have not joined, please do by sending your contribution to Keith Kooy, treasurer.
