Spring clean-up day is next week on Saturday, April 19.
Thatx92s when City of Quincy residents can dump household garbage and yard waste for free at the city public works facility.
And while the free dump day is just one week, we can also take time to help spruce up our city and county after this yearx92s hard winter.
It doesnx92t take much to try to beautify our community.
If everyone did little things, such as choosing to bend down to pick up a piece of trash when they are out walking rather than ignore it, our town would be a much nicer and cleaner place.
Those who want to put their green thumbs to work can also participate in the downtown beautification project by adopting a bump-out.
Last year, our downtown was such a wonderful environment with all of the beautiful flowers and displays.
