Ladies end season
The season came to halt for the senior laden Lady Jacks basketball team on Tuesday.
Seventh-seeded Quincy (6-12) hit the road for a play-in contest against sixth-seeded Othello (7-11) and lost 60-41. Othello advances into the CWAC District to play Ellensburg, while in the bottom half of the bracket Wapato defeated Grandview 65-34. The Lady Wolves travel to Ephrata on Friday.

Othello 60, Quincy 41
The 15 points, nine rebounds and six steals by Dayanna Lopez and 11 rebounds, eight points, four steals and two blocks by Marisol Lopez were not enough to get past Othello on Tuesday.
The loss to the Lady Huskies ended Quincy’s season, but it took a huge third quarter for Othello to take control. In the first half, the Lady Jacks kept pace with a trio of 3-pointers by Jaclyn Lerma. Her final bomb came from an assist by Taylor Kunkel with 36 ticks left in the half.
In the second half, Quincy got a putback bucket from Marisol Lopez at the 6:24 mark, but Othello scored the next 15 points to take command and pull ahead 38-23. They were able to outscore the Lady Jacks 20-8
Othello was led by Kylie Mollotte with 28 points and Christine Kirkwood with 14 points.
Ellensburg 58, Quincy 29
Deira Gordan nearly beat the Lady Jacks single-handedly last Friday night. She scored 23 points as the Lady Bulldogs won 58-29.
Quincy was led by Dayanna Lopez’s 12 points and Durfee’s eight points.
