Lloyd Cotham

Lloyd Cotham, 93, of Quincy passed away Monday, Feb. 22, 2010 at Summer Wood Alzheimer’s Special Care Center in Moses Lake.

He was born Dec. 6, 1916 to Arthur and Ida (Holder) Cotham at Possum Holler, Tenn.

Lloyd attended school in Tennessee; he married Lola Stacy in 1942 at Jonesboro, Ark. At that time Lloyd worked as a logger.

The family moved to the Quincy/George area in 1958, where they were hay farmers until he retired in 1978.

Lloyd had been a resident of Summer Wood Alzheimer’s Special Care Center since July, 2005.

He is survived by his wife, Lola Cotham of Quincy, and children, Sue Wisemore of Tucson, Ariz., Phillip Cotham of Tampa, Fla., Mary Albrecht of Quincy, Johnnie Cotham Jr. of George and Raymond Cotham of Casa Grande, Ariz.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Scharbach’s Columbia Funeral Chapel in Quincy. A gathering for family and friends will follow from 2:30 to 4 p.m. at 3718 Rd. R NW, Quincy.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Summer Wood Alzheimer’s Special Care Center, 830 NW Sunburst Court, Moses Lake, WA 98837.

Arrangements are under the direction of Scharbach’s Columbia Funeral Chapel in Quincy.
