Local Cub Scouts John Misasi, Michael Martin, Adam Winfree, Bryan Cantrell-Blaine, Edgar Santabria and James Feigel all advanced from Cubs to Boy Scouts during a Blue and Gold Banquet.
The QHS boys basketball team brought home the fourth-place trophy after a 30-29 finish over Grandview at the state 2A tournament.

David Martin led the Jacks with 12 rebounds and 11 points in the consolation final, which set a record for lowest winning score in the tournament.
