Maria Lozano
Maria Soledad Vasquez Lozano, 108, a longtime Quincy resident, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011.
She was born in Sonora, Michoacán, Mexico on Feb. 10, 1903.
Maria immigrated to the Quincy area in 1945. She married Miguel Tamayo Lozano, and he preceded her in death in January, 1982.
She worked in the agriculture industry and was also a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughter, Raquel Garcia of Quincy; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren and nine great-great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son.
A funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, Nov. 21, 2011 at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Quincy, with burial in the Quincy Valley Cemetery.
