Police seek suspect in shooting
Quincy police are looking for a 20-year-old Quincy man in connection with a shooting last Wednesday evening.
No one was injured when Marcos Avalos opened fire with a handgun at 5:30 p.m. in the area of Fifth Avenue Southeast and G Street Southeast, police said.
Avalos, who was on foot, fired two shots at people in a car, police said. The bullets struck the back window and the inside of the passenger door.

Police believe the shooting is gang-related because the investigation determined the shooter and the people in the car exchanged gang signals before the shooting, police said.
Snyder said police recovered one bullet from the vehicle and the casing of another on the ground near the scene.
A search warrant was obtained for 521 H St. SE, the residence of Avalos, who was not home at the time. Avalos is being sought by police for assault in the first degree.
Avalos also has three warrants for his arrest on unrelated charges, according to the police department.
Adelelmo Beltran, 18, was arrested for an arrest warrant on unrelated charges.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call 787-4718.
