QHS - Joseph Engle
Joseph Engle
Joseph Engle is teaching freshman English and junior honors English at Quincy High School. He is also serving as a sophomore class advisor.
Engle is originally from Bozeman, Mont., but attended high school on Bainbridge Island. He attended Western Washington University and Central Washington University, where he earned degrees in English and psychology and received a residency teaching certificate. Prior to coming to Quincy, he taught a year at South Kitsap High School and a year at Wahluke High School.
His goals for the school year are to build relationships of mutual respect with his students.
“I feel welcome here and I am really looking forward to working with these students,” he said.
He plans to live in the area and looks forward to the heat. In his spare time, Engle enjoys skiing, hiking, writing and reading.
