Relay for Life in the Quincy Valley is set for June 29-30
Kick-off event planned for March 1 to introduce program
A third meeting for Quincy’s Relay for Life took place at the Quincy High School library on Tuesday night. Plans for the event kick-off were discussed. Quincy’s first Relay for Life event, which will take place June 29 and 30 on the Quincy High School track, will be set in motion March 1.
“The purpose is to bring attention to how the American Cancer Society can be a great help to cancer patients and their families,” said Ryan Bailey of the American Cancer Society in Spokane.
The Relay for Life “Kick-Off” will be at the Quincy Community Center from 5 to 7 p.m., and will offer information on how to form relay teams for the upcoming event, as well as how to get involved with the American Cancer Society.

“Think about who in your life is affected by cancer. Finding a cure is important,” said Bailey.

Bailey and Harrington are working to put together a Facebook page for the Quincy event to get the word out. Survivors and those going through treatment are invited to share their stories at the kick-off event.
Team registration for the Quincy Relay for Life on June 29 and 30 is $25 and individual registration is $10. Registration will be available at the kick-off or you can register online.
