Rotary, P-R team up for library
In the next few months, we here at the Post-Register are hoping our readers will see a number of pages highlighting the generosity of local residents and businesses.
The Post-Register and the Quincy Rotary Club have teamed up to help raise money for our library in a unique way.
The Rotary Club has pledged to raise $40,000 to outfit the new Quincy Public Library’s conference and media room. The Post-Register has agreed to help the club in this endeavor by donating a full-page advertisement to each of the first 25 donors who give at least $1,000 to Rotary’s library project.

There are just a few restrictions. The ads will focus solely on the donor’s gift to the library and cannot be used to directly sell products or services. The ads have to run when the Post-Register can schedule them, and the ads are only for a single entity and cannot be broken up into smaller pieces.
The Quincy Library Foundation, which is raising money for the new library, has agreed to recognize donors who give money to Rotary’s project the same way they would recognize donors who give directly to the foundation.
We are excited about being able to enter into this partnership and highlight those who will give to support the new library.
We know there are other organizations and individuals who are planning similiar projects to raise money for the library. We hope the community will support their efforts as well.
Our community needs a new library more than ever. The library is an extremely important resource for residents to access information and this new library will ensure that our community will be well served for many years to come. Please call me at 787-4511 for information.
