School briefs: May 14
Winky Bear registration
Winky Bear Christian Preschool is holding a registration open house on Friday, May 15 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Quincy Community Church. There will be a 3-year-old class two days a week for $90 a month and a 4-year-old pre-kindergarten class for three days a week for $135 a month. Teachers are Kim Donovan and Susie Main. Class size is limited and spots will be filled upon receipt of an $80 registration fee.

Insight holds info meeting
The Insight School of Washington, an online, tuition-free public high school, is holding information sessions in Wenatchee on Saturday, May 16 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Red Lion Hotel, 1225 N. Wenatchee Ave. Students and parents are invited to come and learn about how online education really works and how to enroll. Kindergarten open house
Mountain View Elementary School will hold an open house for next fall’s incoming kindergarten students and their parents on Tuesday, May 19 from 6 to 7 p.m. This will be an opportunity for students and parents to become familiar with the staff and facilities at Mtn. View. There will be a short informational meeting in the gym, a tour of the building and classrooms, and the bus supervisor will be giving a short bus ride through the parking lot. All parents and their incoming kindergarten students are encouraged to attend.
Auto department recertified
The Big Bend Community College Automotive Department has announced that they have been re-certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Master Certification.
