Senior News: April 1
We are very happy being able to continue our meals on Thursday at the Community Center. I know we are all very anxious to get back to our comfortable home and use silverware instead of plastic utensils, but please keep in mind that for every week we are blessed to be at the Community Center, we are one week closer to getting home. Your attendance and support during these past weeks has been wonderful and we look forward to your continuing support in the coming weeks.
The snack counter at the Spring Bazaar on Saturday, March 27 was a great success. We were able to sell $85 worth of goodies. A huge thank you goes out to all of our volunteers who came out: Mavis Bennett, Rae and Nick Soelter, and Mark Owens. Couldn’t have done it without you!!!
Fiber Fun Seminar April 9 and 10 is being presented at the Senior Center through Parks and Recreation. Times are Friday, April 9, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, April 10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please bring a dessert to share on this day. For more information, call Chris Koeppel at 787-3523.

We are excited to announce activities to take place when we resume our schedule at the Senior Center. Sue Anez, RN CRN CLNP (stands for lots of medical knowledge and experience), is preparing to teach two classes; CPR/First Aid, and Emergency Preparedness. We have scheduled the CPR/First Aid class for Friday, May 28 which will include certification, provided a person stays for the whole class and passes the test. Class size is limited to 10 people, age 17 and up, so if we get enough interest in these subjects, we may get her to return and repeat class days. More information, such as times, fees and content, is available in our newsletter, available at community meals on Thursday. You can also call 787-3231 for information.
Lunch for Rotary and dinner for the rest of us at the QUINCY COMMUNITY CENTER at 6 p.m. is haystack salad, green beans, rolls, and for dessert, lemon squares.
