This is the last call to anyone interested in attending the 5 Wishes seminar held at the Senior Center today at 4 p.m.

Everyone, especially people in our age group, should learn about having their last wishes honored.

If anyone is interested in obtaining a Food Handlers Card, the Grant County Health Department is planning to give the exam on Monday, Aug. 30 at 4 p.m. The cost will be $10. Any dues paid member of the Quincy Senior Center wishing to take the exam will have their cost covered by the Center. For others, cash or money orders only. Please be on time.

Summer is drawing to a close, which means it’s almost time for us to think about attending all the activities at FARMER-CONSUMER AWARENESS DAY. Please be sure to mark Sept. 11 on your calendar.

A COMMUNITY COMES TOGETHER, a talk about Protecting Seniors, will be held Sept. 17 at the Wenatchee Convention Center.

The Pasco Senior Center is hosting an ALL Senior Picnic on Sept. 23 at TRAC in Pasco from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The charge will be $5 per person.

Teresa Michael has agreed to be our scrapbook chairman and would like anything pertaining to the Center to be dropped off so she may enter it into the scrapbook.

The Senior Center is having a fundraiser on Oct. 16 when JEANNE COADY will perform A MUSICAL TRIBUTE TO PATSY CLINE. The price of the ticket, $15, includes not only the entertainment, but an ice cream social. The refreshment will be served beginning at 6 p.m. and the show will begin at 7 p.m. As there will be a limited number of tickets available, we suggest an early purchase.

The menu for lunch for the members of the Rotary at noon and for the seniors and anyone in the community at 6 p.m. will be tater tot casserole, cooked carrots, tossed salad, rolls and pear crisp with topping for dessert. Please make a point of joining us for good fellowship and to take a look at the fantastic newly installed carpet.

Game winners are as follows: Monday night bridge: first - Dick Bennett and second- Nancy Street. Wednesday bridge: first - Billie Schempp and second - Helen Colby. Thursday pinochle: first - Elsie Logan and second - Lonabel Kissel. Thursday dominoes: first - Elaine Elshoff and second - John Michael.
