Senior News: July 1

July is here…fireworks, hot summer nights, lots of outdoor opportunities. Hopefully you are taking advantage of the good weather. Remember that the cold, moist washcloth does wonders as it gets hotter.

Friends and family of senior citizens be on the alert; look out for your elder loved ones. Hot weather brings its own risks, including heat stroke.

If the heat becomes too much for you, come cool down at the Senior Center with a refreshing glass of lemonade. You can also call ahead and have some computer skills time with Mark your calendar for July 8 at 4 p.m. Quincy Community Health Clinic is offering a class on arthritis basics here at the Senior Center. There will be time for questions; even if you can’t think of a question, you can learn from the instructor and from the questions that others might ask. All of the community is welcome for this class.
