Senior News: June 3
The flooring is in, the paint is on and the kitchen is on schedule for reopening on June 10! We couldn’t be happier. Thank you, City Council, work crews, Mayor Hemberry, Dave Reynolds, Tim Snead…if you had a part in making this happen, we at the Quincy Senior Center cannot thank you enough.
Please make room in your schedule to celebrate our reopening dinner at 6 p.m. on June 10. We are planning a special dinner, volunteer awards, and more. If you volunteered at all in 2009, this is dedicated to you, so plan to be here! The rest of you come and cheer on the dedicated volunteers of the Senior Center of Quincy.
The Quincy Community Health Clinic is bringing us a class June 10 at 4 p.m., on diabetes, its nature, care, and concerns. Bring your questions! Then on June 22 and 29, the Aging and Adult Care of Washington will present two classes on cooking for diabetics, including tasty samples of the food demonstrated. All classes are free of charge, but class size is limited for the cooking classes, so be sure to sign up!

Lunch for Rotary at the QUINCY COMMUNITY CENTER at noon is roast beef, red potatoes, gravy, carrots, fruit salad, warm rolls and cake for dessert.
We are having games and dessert at the Quincy Senior Center. You may bring a sack lunch at 6 p.m. or a dessert for everyone to share if you wish. Pinochle and dominoes start at 6:30 p.m.
