Senior Michael Heitstuman may have been a
second-team All Central Washington Athletic Conference punter, but it turns out he was even better, according to MaxPreps.
Heitstuman in 10 games had 29 punts for a total of 1,258 yards. His average led the state of Washington at 43.38 yards and he had a long of 61 yards and three downed inside the 20-yard line.

His averge was .24 yards farther than Mead High School senior Mark David (43.14).
Heitstuman's average also puts him at 22nd in the nation. The leader was Eric Goslar of Marlboro Central High School in Marlboro, N.Y. His average was 52.50.
