The Lady Jacks were hoping to contain Ephrata's Kelsey Yenney last Wednesday at the Town Toyota Center. And they did.

The problem was, the shooting guard was not the only Lady Tiger with the ability to put up points. Julia Weaver and Talynn Woods filled in nicely, scoring 12 and 13 points respectively.

In the end, Ephrata won 59-32.

“They have a lot of experience and a lot of good shooters,” coach Cully Donovan said. “You try to stop (Yenney) and someone else steps up.

“We put a lot of attention on Yenney. Woods kept them in it and it seems like she hit everything.”

For the Lady Jacks, the good news is they put a few more points on the board than normal. In their four league losses, Quincy has averaged 23 points per game.

Marinda Talley paced Quincy with 15 points and added seven rebounds, while Madison Petersen added five points.
