Honors continue for QHS soccer team

The Quincy High School boys soccer team has received several accolades after winning its first-ever district championship this spring.
The latest recognition came when all-state rosters for baseball, soccer and fastpitch were released earlier this month by The Associated Press.
Luis Sorto was named second-team all-state in Class 2A, and Jacks teammates Efrain Alvarado, a midfielder, and defender Manuel Hernandez were all-state honorable mention.
Earlier in the summer, Quincy — which lost its first-round state playoff game to Cheney — was named as a finalist for the Male Team honor at the North Central Washington Sports Awards, while coach Tom Turner was nominated for male coach award.
