The only good thing that came out of last night's Quincy High School football game against No. 4 Othello is the fact that the Jackrabbits now have the four best teams in the Central Washington Athletic Conference off their remaining schedule.

Quincy lost 63-12, but now can look forward to three-week stretch in which it can feel good about picking up a few victories. The Jacks will play three teams in the bottom half of the conference standings - East Valley, Grandview and Ephrata - in the next three weeks. Quincy has gotten the conference's big four - No. 1 Ellensburg, Othello, Selah and Prosser - out of the way.

Breck Webley continued his resurgence in his quest to win the conference's rushing title, busting off a 96-yard touchdown run en route to a 177-yard effort. Quarterback Jackson Hodges also connected with Trevor Hyer for a passing score for the second consecutive week as the Jacks racked up all 12 of their points in the second quarter.

Quincy fans shouldn't judge their team by this effort, though. The Jacks played hard against one of the best teams in the state. How Quincy fares in the next three weeks against more even competition should serve as the true tell-tale sign of how far this team has progressed this season.
