This was a winnable game for the Jackrabbits on paper, but as has been the case this season, they were unable to contain their opponent's star runner, and that was the difference in the game.

Jacob Massey was a beast for the Greyhounds, carrying 35 times for 239 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Massey scored on runs of 4 and 72 yards in the first quarter to help Grandview to a 14-6 halftime lead.

Quincy has been able to remain competitive in some contests this year despite giving up big yardage on the ground by employing an effective running attack of their own, but they weren't able to get on track Friday. Breck Webley, who went into the game third in the Central Washington Athletic Conference in rushing, was able to run for just 49 yards. Quarterback Jackson Hodges led the Jacks with 56 yards rushing.

First-half turnovers and penalties killed Quincy as well as Massey, who past Webley in the conference rushing leaders.

The good news for Quincy is that is has a chance to finish the season with two wins — Friday against East Valley, then against winless Ephrata.

In other CWAC news, Selah's stunning second-half comeback stunned Prosser 28-27 and knocked the perennial state powerhouse Mustangs out of the state playoff race. The Vikings clinched a spot, and will head to the tournament along with Ellensburg and Prosser.
