Feb. 02, 2012 - A third meeting for Quincy’s Relay for Life took place at the Quincy High School library on Tuesday night. Plans for the event kick-off were discussed. Quincy’s first Relay for Life event, which will take place June 29 and 30 on the Quincy High School track, will be set in motion March 1.

Jan. 26, 2012 - For nearly three decades, Barb Gottschalk has operated the liquor store in Quincy. She will permanently close the doors to her business at the end of the day on Tuesday, Jan. 31. When that happens, Quincy will be without a liquor store for at least four months, thanks to the passage of Initiative-1183, which privatizes liquor sales in the state.
