May 17, 2012 - Shortly before 7 a.m. on Monday, May 14, a customer dropped by Quincy Hardware & Lumber at 23 E St. SE needing washers to fix a plumbing leak. While the transaction barely brought in the first dollar to the store, it helped to highlight the purpose of the neighborhood hardware store.
