Community health welcomes new doctors
Oct. 22, 2009 - Two new doctors, Maria Celeste Lomarda and Anna Espiritu, are now seeing patients at the Quincy Community Health Center. Both doctors specialize in general family medicine and have been on staff since September.
Chief finalists 'very qualified'
Oct. 15, 2009 - At a community forum held Friday night at city hall chambers, the four final candidates for Quincy’s vacant police chief position all proved themselves to be experienced, intelligent and engaging, and expressed a profound desire to return to small-town community policing after having spent parts of their careers working in bigger cities.
Festival delivers taste of the harvest
Oct. 15, 2009 - The Harvest Festival at the Reiman-Simmons House was a success last Saturday, even though attendance was down, probably partially due to cold weather.
Wellness festival postponed due to illness
Oct. 15, 2009 - The Quincy Valley Wellness Festival, scheduled to be held this Saturday at Quincy High School, has been indefinitely postponed, ironically enough, because Quincy Valley Medical Center, the event’s organizer, is concerned with the town’s wellness.

Oct. 15, 2009 - The Quincy Valley Chamber of Commerce is going to bring a bit of Margaritaville to Quincy next month.
