A Big Bend Community College student and 2007 Quincy High School graduate, Dain Schroeder got to research that question for the Department of Energy during a 10-week summer internship. He was also selected to present his project at the national DOE lab in Oakridge, Tenn. last month.

Three teachers earn National Board Certification

Dec. 24, 2008 - The Quincy School District has three new National Board Certified teachers: Susan Yaw from Mountain View, Vicki Edwards from Monument and Roger Young from Quincy Junior High.

Quincy Valley School sends soldiers care packages

On Tuesday, Dec. 2, students were given an opportunity to put learning into practice. They packed boxes for soldiers stationed in Korengal Valley, Afghanistan, one of the worst areas in the country.
