May 19, 2011 - New Life Christian School in Ephrata announced the members of its third-quarater honor roll last month. Several Quincy residents were listed.

Community asked to attend a neighborhood school meeting

May 19, 2011 - The Quincy School District Neighborhood School Committee is asking community members to attend a special meeting on Monday, May 23 to give their opinions on the idea of creating elementary schools based primarily on neighborhoods rather than grade levels.

Area girls heading off to Space Camp

April 21, 2011 - Nine middle school students from Washington were selected to receive the Washington State Migrant Education Program’s scholarship to Space Academy at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Hunstville, Ala. from July 31 to Aug. 5. Two of them are from Quincy.

Quincy High DECA does it again

March 31, 2011 - For the fourth year in a row, the Quincy High School DECA club has earned a spot at the international DECA competition under the leadership of Nicole Monroe.

March 24, 2011 - After several months of spearheading the backpack program at Mountain View Elementary School, the program Greta Williams started in the district has branched out to two other schools.

Take virtual tour south with Luces

March 24, 2011 - Quincy residents can take a virtual tour of South America anda the Antarctic during a presentation by Rod and Rita Luce on Wednesday, March 30 at 7 p.m. in the Quincy High School Performing Arts Center. Admission is free, but donations to the Quincy InvestED Fund and the QHS Senior Class are welcome.

Youth Action plans to "Draw the Line"

March 17, 2011 - On March 30, Quincy High School Youth Action Committee members, along with Mayor Jim Hemberry and other adults and teens in the community, will draw the line against youth and alcohol.
