Balloon festival an uplifting experience

Sept. 25, 2008 - My thanks go to Kim and Kent Bacon for planning and hosting the first Quincy Balloon Festival, held during Farmer-Consumer Awareness Days.

Veterans Memorial unveiling is Saturday

Sept. 11, 2008 - I would like to invite veterans and their families and members of the community to join me Saturday, Sept. 13 at 8:45 a.m. for the unveiling of the names at the Memorial Wall. It was decided that a good time to dedicate the tiles would be Farmer-Consumer Days, when lots of people would be coming to town for the celebration.
