Dear Editor,

Darn Quarantine… Where have the months gone?

Just the other day it was Memorial Day and now the Fourth of July is only three weeks away, but the good news is the Quincy Valley Veterans Remembrance Wall Committee has again decided to hold the placing of veterans’ names on the wall ceremony on the second Saturday in September.

Waiting has created a short window for the applications to be completed and returned but we feel it is important to continue this activity.

So, it is again this is a reminder to all in the Quincy Valley of the need for registering for inclusion on the Recognition Wall which is for all who served in the military and have ties to the Quincy Valley.

The applications can be found at the Chamber of Commerce for those who need them. They are open there to pick up and after completion return them to the Chamber office.

Please start now as they will be collected right after the of July 15 to be checked, reviewed and sent for engraving.

That is now scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at the Memorial Park September 12, 2021

If you want to see how they look, please visit the Quincy Recognition Wall anytime. It is under the three flag poles between the two stop lights on Hwy 28.

Sincerely,

Phil Anderson & Mark Owens
