Over the weekend Grant County Fire District #3 (GCFD#3) held its annual food drive to support the Quincy Food Bank.

From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, the fire trucks drove up and down nearly every street in Quincy stopping to collect bags and boxes of food from members of the community. Some even left their donations on their porch or end of their driveway for the volunteers to pick up.

They sounded their sirens and lights so people could gauge how close the trucks were to their neighborhood.

Many could be seen smiling as they handed the food to the volunteers. Some even just came out to wave to the trucks and volunteers as they passed by.

The donations will be delivered to the foodbank this week.
