The Grant County Health District reported the fifth Coronavirus related death in the county on June 11.

The person was a man in his 80s from Moses Lake and resident of Summer Wood Alzheimer’s Special Care Center in Moses Lake.

“The resident was a valued member of our community and will be greatly missed,” stated Laurie Ahmann at Summer Wood. “Our hearts go out to his family and friends.”

The number of positive cases county-wide continue to rise. The total number of confirmed cases in the county stands at 337 as of Monday evening. 130 individuals have recovered and five are currently hospitalized.

Moses Lake and the Quincy area remain the two most infected areas of the county with 98 and 91 cases respectively.
