A sixth person has passed away from Coronavirus related complications. The individual was a man in his 90s from Moses Lake.

The Grant County Health District reported the death in a press release on June 24.

“Our most vulnerable community members — elderly, immunocompromised, and those with chronic conditions — are especially at risk and we must continue to take measures to protect them from this disease,” the health district stated in the release.

The health district reported over 100 new cases of Coronavirus in the last week. The total now stands at 577 as of June 29, up from 471 on June 22. The health district does not share the number of recovered individuals on its website.

The Moses Lake area continues to lead the county in the total number of cases with 167, followed by the Quincy area with 152. The Coulee City area remains the only area in Grant County without a single confirmed case.

14 individuals are hospitalized as of June 29, according to the health district website.
