The third race of the season for Jacks Cross Country was held at the Crescent bar Golf Course on Saturday, March 13.

The meet featured runners from Quincy, Moses Lake, Cascade, Lake Roosevelt, Okanogan, Wahluke and Soap Lake. The 5K course was mostly flat for the runners and the weather was a sunny 50 degrees.

Each race for the boys and girls had multiple waves a minute apart. Each wave had a maximum number of 30 runners.

Quincy senior Jane Kennedy placed top 10 again with a time of 22:38 and placed fifth.

Freshman Bridget Jones and Sophomore Marisol Uribe placed 18th and 19th with times of 28:16 and 28:18 respectively. Sophomore Ruth Flores placed 27th with a time of 36:25

Freshman Levi Kukes led the boys team placing 19th with a time of 20:48. Other Quincy boys placed as follows:

  • Junior Ecduy Gorillo, 22nd; 21:10
  • Junior Israel Perez, 26th; 21:55
  • Senior Kevin Calixto and sophomore Adiel Sandoval placed 39th and 40th with times of 24:44 and 25:50, respectfully.
  • Freshman Alan Rivera, 42nd; 26:46
  • Junior Brandon Gonzalez, 48th; 39:26
