The Quincy High School Volleyball team took one match and dropped another in its first two games of the season on Saturday.

The varsity Lady Jacks team beat Cascade High School 3-1 in their first match of the day. They initially lost the first game but rallied and came back to win the following three. The Junior Varsity (JV) squad lost to Cascade 2-1.

Later that night the varsity girls played Ephrata and fell 3-0, and JV lost 3-0 as well.

Coach Dean Pratt said that the team battled through and that five days of practice wasn’t a lot of time to prepare for the competition. He applauded Ephrata’s talent.
