At the beginning of December, McCreary Real Estate and Homes announced a new annual contest called “Let it Glow” on Facebook. The contest was a home decorating contest for the holiday season.

The Facebook post said, “As we all know, COVID-19 concerns have caused cancelations or modifications of several Christmas events. We thought this would be a great time to start a new Christmas event so we all have something to look forward to during this unusual Christmas season! House decoration festivities are a great way to still have fun and practice social distancing.”

On Christmas eve, a map of all the houses entered into the contest was posted for families to drive around to see and vote on.

On Christmas day winners were announced. The three winners were:

• Bill and Machele Friend for the Best home North of Railroad Tracks

• Jeff and Katrina Spence for Best home South of Railroad Tracks

• Corey and Taran Rosenberger for Best Country Home.

The three winners will receive a $50 giftcard to Quincy Hardware and Lumber and a Christmas goodie basket.

“We hope this brings a little extra light and love to our community during this strange time!” Micaiah McCreary said.
