On Nov. 21, the Medication Education & Disposal Project (MED-Project) launched in Washington. The Program offers state residents a free service to dispose of expired, unwanted or unused medications safely, according to a MED-Project press release.

The service operates year-round and has convenient drop-off locations such as pharmacies, medical facilities and law enforcement offices.

Unwanted medications can also be mailed and free pre-paid packages can be requested at www.med-project.org, by calling (844) MED-PROJECT, or by visiting MED-Project mail-back distribution locations such as pharmacies.

For more information call (844) MED-PROJECT, or visit med-project.org.
