Grant County Sheriff’s Office

A 21-year-old man from Quincy was arrested and booked on charges of second-degree rape of a child, and attempt and communication with a minor for immoral purposes. No bail.

A 19-year-old man from Quincy was arrested and booked on a violation of protection order.

Aug. 22

9:05 a.m. - Reporting party says that at 3 a.m., a coworker and they were walking near a store and someone ran out toward them with no shirt on and shorts hanging off. The subject said something to the co-worker and ran off.

12:45 p.m. - Reporting party says someone broke into his truck and has video.

2:29 p.m. - Reporting party says someone left property in the backyard, a gallon jug of paint epoxy remover.

6:05 p.m. - Reporting party says his vehicle is parked and someone broke one of the windows within the last two hours. Nothing was taken.

6:41 p.m. - Reporting party says they were playing at a park and someone was shooting, seemed to be shooting an airsoft gun.

7:01 p.m. - Reporting party says a male is harassing him and is now at his residence.

8:20 p.m. - Reporting party says there’s a vehicle parked behind hers, the reporting party is concerned that she can’t get out if she has an emergency.

8:24 p.m. - Reporting party says there’s a Chevy Silverado swerving on the road, she says it’s possible there’s a DUI situation happening.

8:39 p.m. - Reporting party says there’s someone speeding, going 50 mph on a 25 mph roadway.

Aug. 23

6:53 a.m. - Reporting party says there’s a dog roaming around, last seen at the empty parking lot.

10:30 a.m. - Reporting party says a pit bull across the street was jumping at the owner’s car. Now the dog is still running around the neighborhood.

10:32 a.m. - Reporting party says there’s a homeless person sleeping under the eating area of the business. Reporting party wants an officer to ask this person to leave.

12:27 p.m. - Reporting party says there’s a dog running at large and has been for a couple of days. It’s a mid-size dog, brown and white, going north of First Avenue Northwest.

2:28 p.m. - Reporting party says that a male subject came in the church, and came to the curb walking over to stop him.

7:39 p.m. - Reporting party says there’s an individual fighting with his girlfriend. Individual sounds drunk.

8:17 p.m. - Reporting party says there are vehicles near the middle school, speeding and coming back.

Aug. 24

2:06 a.m. - Reporting party she can hear someone crying outside. She thinks they are hitting something. She can also hear loud music.

6:41 a.m. - Reporting party says there’s a dog running at large and she says is afraid the animal is going to get hit.

2:34 p.m. - Reporting party says she found a bullet hole in her vehicle this morning.

Aug. 25

8:09 p.m. - Reporting party says there are people who keep parking in the spot for people with disabilities.

11:28 p.m. - Reporting party says someone cut the padlock of their mini-storage unit.

Aug. 26

4:16 a.m. - Reporting party says that there’s a male outside the building, looking to be about 8-12 years old, and who seems confused.

6:18 a.m. - Reporting party says there’s someone parked in the handicap spot, with the engine running, driver seems to have passed out. They were there last week, too.

6:44 p.m. - Reporting party says some dog bit a minor.

10:48 p.m. - Reporting party is crying, and saying in Spanish that she cannot live in her own home.

Aug. 27

12:12 p.m. - Reporting party says that their vehicle sustained some damage after a hit with a trailer.

5:38 p.m.

Reporting party says that their brother is screaming and throwing a tantrum.

Aug. 28

1:57 a.m. - Reporting party called 911 and then hung up, but not before the police could hear a lot of yelling. Call came from a nightclub.

3:19 a.m. - Reporting party says he wants to meet with a police officer because he wants to get his belongings from a residence. He does not want to give the trailer number.

4:51 a.m. - Reporting party says his ex followed him to this location.

1:34 p.m. - Reporting party says his grandma was threatened. They do have guns in the house.
