The Jacks swim team wrapped up their season at Moses Lake on June 17.
The team swam exhibition as a unscored 2A/1A competing at the 4A meet. Teams at the meet included Cascade, Wenatchee, Moses Lake, Eastmont and Yakima area high schools.
“The Jacks posted excellent times and displayed competitive improvement against the larger swim teams,” said Melva Calloway, the mother of Quincy swimmer Trenten Calloway.
Rami Escure clocked 2:12.16 in the 200-yard individual medley which would have placed him fourth. In the 100-yard breaststroke he clocked a time of 1:05.23 which would have put him in second place behind a swimmer from Eastmont.
Robert Bensch timed 35.45 in the 50-yard freestyle and 1:20.10 in the 100-yard freestyle.
Trenten Calloway timed 1:50.01 in the 200-yard freestyle, a time that would’ve landed him in first place. He also would have taken first in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 53.77, less than one second faster than the next fastest swimmer.
Wyatt VanDerMerwe participated in diving and the 500-yard freestyle. He scored 251.05 between 11 dives and 5:14.25 in the 500-yard freestyle in which he would have placed second.
In the team relays the Jacks clocked 1:55.40 in the 200-yard medley relay and 1:42.96 in the 200-yard freestyle relay. They would have placed them third in the 200-yard freestyle relay had they not been exhibition.
