Grant County Sheriff’s Office announced in a Feb. 10 news release the raid and arrest of a 45-year-old Quincy man a week after the incident.
Humberto Garcia was arrested on Feb. 4 during a drug investigation focusing on local drug trafficking.
According to the release, Grant County’s Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team (INET) served search warrants at 411 O Street Southwest in Quincy. Grant County Sheriff’s Deputies, Quincy Police Department and the Washington State Patrol aided INET with the warrant service.
Investigators found over three ounces of suspected cocaine, packaging materials, one firearm and around 750 rounds of ammunition, among other items of evidentiary value, according to the release.
Garcia was jailed for investigation of possession of cocaine with intent to deliver. Other drug enhancement charges are possible since the home is within 1,000 feet of a designated school zone.
The investigation that led to Garcia’s arrest was months in the making, having started in late 2020.
