Robert Bensch, Wyatt VanDerMerwe and Rami Escure represented Quincy Swimming at a meet held at Moses Lake High School on May 27.

Of the 12 events offered at the meet, Quincy was represented in six of them despite the team missing two members; Lucien Roseburg and Trenten Calloway.

Quincy and Cashmere were not scored in the results of the meet between Moses Lake and Eastmont.

This is Bensch’s first year with the team and he participated in the 50-yard freestyle and 100 yard freestyle.

Junior Wyatt VanDerMerwe participated in two events; diving and 500-yard freestyle.

Sophomore Rami Escure participated in the 100-yard backstroke and 100-yard butterfly.

They registered the following times:

  • 50-yard freestyle - Bensch 36.07
  • 1-meter diving - VanDerMerwe 133.25
  • 100-yard freestyle - Bensch, Robert 1:21.50
  • 500-yard freestyle - VanDerMerwe 5:22.05
  • 100-yard backstroke - Escure 1:03.84
  • 100-yard butterfly - Escure 57.26
