The Jacks Track and Field team had their first meet in Ephrata on April 16.

Some of the top performing Jacks included:

  • Freshman Jayden Richards placed 8th in the men’s 100 Meters
  • Sophomore Joceline Schaapman place 6th in the women’s 200 Meters, 4th in the women’s 100 Meter hurdles and 4th in the women’s long jump
  • Senior Jane Kennedy finished 1st in the women’s 3200 Meters
  • Freshman Miles Asay finished 10th in the men’s 100 Meters
  • Junior Ecduy Gordillo placed 3rd in the men’s 800 Meters and 6th in the men’s 1600 Meters
  • Junior Reid Thomsen placed 2nd in the men’s shot put and 3rd in the men’s discus
  • Junior Aidan Heikes placed 1st in the men’s pole vault, men’s long jump and men’s triple jump
  • Junior Jalen spence placed 2nd in the men’s long jump
  • Junior Sergio Cordova finished 5th in the men’s 300 Meter hurdles and 9th in the men’s long jump
  • Senior Jose Martin placed 7th in the men’s shot put and 9th in the men’s javelin
  • Freshman Kallie Kooistra finished 7th in the women’s discus
  • Sophomore Guadalupe Valladolid placed 10th in the women’s discus
  • Sophomore Edwin Esparza finished 7th in the men’s discus

Both the girl’s and boy’s teams placed third in points. Their next meet is at home on April 22.
