The Quincy Lady Jacks soccer team earned their third victory of the year on March 6 against Wahluke by a score of 8-4.

Due to changes of guidelines in regards to COVID-19, the teams played two 40 minute halves instead of 45 minute halves.

Wahluke struck first within the first five minutes of the first half. The Lady Jacks then got on the board with two back-to-back goals by junior Emily Wurl about 10 minutes later.

By halfway through the first half, the jacks were up 3-1 with the third score coming from junior Karla Nunez.

Through the match, Brianna Herrera and Sheridan Donovan each scored once and Wurl scored three more times bringing her total to five goals for the game.

The final score was 8-4, giving the Lady Jacks their third victory of the season and one step closer to the league title. They are currently 3-0 overall and 1-0 in the conference.

Earlier in the week, they beat Royal High School 4-1.

Head coach Francisco Tafoya said that he is thankful they are finally able to play matches. He also said that the team played good all around but needs to work on their defensive side to not allow as many goals by the other team. Their goal is to earn the league title at the end of the season.
